Nathan Boldt
Nathan and his sweet wife, Chelsea, started Venture Christian Church in July 2018. He loves participating in all kinds of outdoor activities. Currently his favorite food is barbecue...(that could change next week.) Nathan and Chelsea have four incredible, fantastic, energetic, funny, spirited kids: Hudson, Olivia, Tyler and Vanessa.
Makaila SMith
-Hi my name is Makaila and I go by Kaila. Both my parents were in the military. I was born in North Carolina then I moved to Texas and I now attend Prairie View A&M University. I am currently working on getting my BS in Interdisciplinary Studies. I love working with kids and one day I will be a kindergarten teacher.
Valerie Peters
Valerie moved to Texas 3 years ago with her daughter Anya Noelle and dog Sophia Lauren after leaving a career of almost 13 years as a police officer. She graduated from Regent University and has been blessed to teach children the Word of God in several capacities over the years. When not "on duty" Valerie loves to read, listen to sermons, ride bikes, write stories and explore the great outdoors.
Doug Songer
Doug, and his talented wife Shyra, joined the Venture Christian Church team in July 2018. Doug is no stranger to challenges as he is outnumbered daily by his three fun-loving daughters: Harmony, Jade and Cadence. He is a big fan of playing tennis, ping pong, making music, and eating Shyra’s baked goodies.
Michelle Hanke
Michelle and her husband Dale raised their family (2 adult children, Aaron 26 and Jenna 24) in Plainfield IN before moving to Katy in 2017 as empty nesters. Michelle’s heart is with God’s young people and she loves to hang out and study the Bible with them. “They keep me energized”, she quips. Besides leading the middle and high school life groups, she owns a small graphic design/photography company. In her spare time, Michelle loves to work outside, ride bikes, hike, and read.
